The presence of Golden Omega and Polaris at Vitafoods Asia 2025 was a declaration of leadership. Their value proposition directly addresses the need for exceptionally high-quality ingredients to combat non-communicable diseases and promote healthy aging in the region.

International Coastal Cleanup Day 2025

We participate on the International Coastal Cleanup Day, an activity was carried out on September 26th at Chinchorro Beach and Las Machas Beach. The event was organized by the Maritime Authority of the Chilean Navy and the Maritime Governorate of Arica, bringing together diverse organizations, educational institutions, businesses, and volunteers from the Arica community.

Golden Omega was an active participant in this initiative, reaffirming its commitment to sustainability and environmental protection through its Olas Zero Plástico (Zero Plastic Waves) initiative and its strategic partner, the Museum of the Sea (Museo del Mar). The day was not only focused on cleaning the coastline but also featured informative stands and an atmosphere of cooperation, with the participation of schools, social organizations, and private sector representatives.

Lieutenant Commander Felipe Rodríguez Muñoz commented during the activity:

“This initiative sought to gather us around a shared mission: to protect and preserve our coastline, a natural and cultural heritage for all. The waste left on the sand—plastics, glass, cigarette butts, or metals—ends up in the sea, severely damaging the biodiversity and the health of our marine ecosystems.

The care of the sea begins on the beach. Participating in this activity is a gesture of respect towards nature and a commitment to future generations. Every action counts, and together we can demonstrate that a clean beach means a healthier sea, and a healthy sea is a guarantee of life for our community and for the planet.”

The activity helped to generate awareness about the importance of preserving our beaches and seas, reminding everyone that caring for the natural environment is a shared and fundamental task for future generations.

Arica-based companies launch Omega-3 Cluster as a development engine for the region

Led by Susana Jiménez, president of the Confederation of Production and Commerce (CPC), a delegation of authorities and business leaders visited the Golden Omega plant and highlighted the collaborative work it performs with the companies Benexia, Condensa, and Newscience to position the city globally and boost the local economy.

As part of the initiative “Gremios por Chile” (Guilds for Chile), an unprecedented business summit was held this Monday in the Arica and Parinacota region, bringing together the leaders of the CPC and its 6 branches: National Agricultural Society (SNA), National Chamber of Commerce (CNC), National Mining Society (Sonami), Society for Manufacturing Development (Sofofa), Chilean Chamber of Construction (CChC), and the Association of Banks (ABIF).

As part of their visit to the region, the delegation of business leaders and authorities, headed by CPC president Susana Jiménez, visited the plant of the Arica-based company Golden Omega, where the official launch of the productive cluster “Arica Capital del Omega-3” was held, bringing together the companies Benexia, Condensa, Newscience, and Golden Omega.

Together, these companies are carrying out collaborative work from the north of Chile to consolidate the city as the world capital of this nutritional supplement, generating a development hub around the Omega-3 industry that allows for the establishment of multiple productive linkages within the region, strengthening the local economy.

At the official launch event for the cluster, the CPC president highlighted that “thanks to this coordinated work, the companies generate innovation in Arica, develop professionals, local employment, and regional entrepreneurship, along with increasing the presence of an Arica-based product in the most competitive and demanding markets in the world, with its entire production phase articulated and linked with the region.”

For her part, Sandra Gillot, CEO of Benexia, valued the initiative, stating that “demonstrating, with concrete results contributing to the regional economy, that the far north of Chile has acquired a global prominence in the Omega-3 industry is a great impulse to continue developing this coordinated work and position Arica in an international leadership role that promotes new challenges.”

Juan Pablo Salas, executive director of Newscience, stressed that “it could be said that the Omega-3 we offer is a 100% Arica-based product, since its entire production phase is linked to the region,” while Matías Levit, general manager of Condensa, highlighted that being part of this cluster “is an experience that fills us with pride and encourages us to move forward with more strength.”

Meanwhile, Jorge Brahm, general manager of Golden Omega, detailed that “as an industry, the companies of the ‘Arica Capital del Omega-3’ cluster currently generate $4.8 million in payments for goods and services, more than 450 million pesos in patent payments, and the direct hiring of nearly 400 people who collaborate in this common challenge. Therefore, we are very optimistic about the great potential this collaborative work has for the growth of the region.”
